Students attending this course already have a familiarity with basic technical writing skills. This course focuses on advanced techniques such as conducting an audience and task analysis, creating a project plan for a large project such as a website, designing and building a personal website, data reporting, authoring an end-user guide, How-to-guide, instruction manual, technical instructions, content and white paper writing, and finally proofing and editing.
The objective of this course is to focus on a large project such as a website design to use as a showcase of the student’s technical writing skills, knowledge, and abilities. In addition, the course offers a learning environment that is personally meaningful to the student. The result is to advance the career and skillset of each student.
